Heather Cowley is the regional representative of the Energy Programs Office in the Southeast Region for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. She manages programs and projects within the PA DEP's state energy and climate change plans. Her main focus is outreach and education for local governments, schools and commercial building owners/operators to assist their efforts in implementing plans and programs for energy efficiency, alternative energy and fuels, and sustainability. She also manages Commonwealth energy efficiency, renewable energy. and alternative fuels grants. Previous work includes efforts around greening health care and schools, as a waste inspector and as a pollution prevention specialist at the DEP. In her community she is active at her church, East Falls Presbyterian, and serves on the Board of Trustees at her children's school, Green Woods Charter School, a green STEM school.
