Dan Comstock’s background is in investment management and progressive donor organizing.  He is currently a financial advisor at Catalyst Investment Counsel where he is responsible for asset allocation and money manager selection for his client’s stock market portfolios. Previously, he founded and ran a small hedge fund. He started his investment career as a stock broker at Bear Stearns.
Dan’s passion is donor organizing to affect climate change politics. He has served on the boards of several progressive donor organizing non-profits where he has led the political giving efforts.  He has also worked with the president of a progressive policy think tank on a project to study the strategies of the progressive movement and develop a comprehensive movement strategy. Dan received his BA from Clark University and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He also earned a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Designation.
