There are a number of ways you can make a financial commitment from your will, living trust, or other estate plans to protect the environment. We welcome the opportunity to show you the potential benefits of making a gift to support our work. Personal discussions, visits, or written presentations incur no obligation on your part, and of course, all information discussed is confidential.

Please note that the Environmental Leadership Program does not offer legal, tax, or financial planning advice. You are encouraged to consult your own legal counsel, tax advisor, and/or financial planner.

We appreciate your interest in learning how you might be able to support environmental leadership as a beneficiary of your long-range plans. If one of these strategies seems right for you, we invite you to contact us to learn more. Please call (240) 656-5635 or email dawn@elpnet.org.

Bequests

There is no greater commitment to the environment than to ensure its care after you’re gone. Whatever legacy you created during your lifetime can continue, often in your name, in perpetuity with a bequest to ELP.

Bequests provide tremendous tax benefits because they are wholly deductible from an individual’s estate. Bequest intentions may be included at the time a new will is drawn, or added to an existing will through a simple codicil. Our staff can provide simple language to share with your financial planner.

Please note that the Environmental Leadership Program does not offer legal, tax, or financial planning advice. You are encouraged to consult your own legal counsel, tax advisor, and/or financial planner.

We ask anyone who has made a bequest intention to ELP to let us know.
