About the ELP Senior Fellow Network
The Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) Senior Fellows community spans sectors, regions, and generations of environmental and social change leaders. Alumni-led meetups — both in-person and virtual — are an opportunity to strengthen relationships, support collaboration, and sustain the values of equity, justice, and leadership development that define ELP.
This guide is designed to help Senior Fellows organize welcoming, community-centered gatherings in cities, regions, and online spaces across the country.
ELP Senior Fellow Meetups are intended to:
Reconnect Senior Fellows locally, regionally, and nationally
Build relationships across cohorts
Support collaboration and mutual aid
Create space for reflection, learning, and encouragement
Welcome new Fellows into the alumni community
Strengthen leadership rooted in justice, equity, and sustainability
Maintain connections between Fellows who may not be able to attend in-person events
Meetups do not need to be large or highly structured to be successful. Small gatherings often create the strongest connections. While even just hanging out with one other Fellow can be considered a Meetup, this guide provides support and ideas for engaging more Fellows at once.
