Biography

Daniel F. Morris is a Research Associate for climate policy and economics at Resources for the Future. As part of RFF’s climate program, his work focuses on a suite of climate change issues, including domestic adaptation policy, monitoring and modeling forest carbon, GHG emissions trading system design, climate impacts related to recreation, ecosystem services, and current climate legislation. He also contributes to the environmental economics blogs Common Tragedies and Weathervane. He has a Masters of Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at University of California, Santa Barbara. Additionally, he is a Switzer Environmental Fellow and an Environmental Leadership Program Senior Fellow. Morris’ previous work includes forest policy analysis for the USDA Forest Service and grants and programs administration for the National Park Foundation. He received his B.S. in environmental science with an emphasis in communication and rhetoric from Northern Arizona University. Originally from Utah, he tries to get out of DC and into the mountains as much as possible.
