ORGANIZATIONS OFFERING TRAININGS AND WORKSHOPS

Campus Ecology
Campus Ecology, a project of the National Wildlife Federation, is dedicated to helping campuses "go green." The organization supports on-campus environmental projects, offers training, and maintains a national network of campus environmental activists.

Center for Environmental Citizenship
The Center for Environmental Citizenship encourages environmental awareness on college campuses by training and organizing a diverse, national network of young environmental leaders.

Conservation Leadership Network
The Conservation Leadership Network is sponsored by the Conservation Fund, a national non-profit organization advocating conservation of American lands and waters. The Network works with governmental and non-governmental partners to enhance the leadership capacity of conservation professionals.

Corporate Environmental Leadership Seminar
This annual two-week seminar, sponsored by the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, offers state-of-the-debate assessments of contemporary industrial environmental management issues through discussion, problem-solving exercises, and case studies. Participants include professionals from industry, government, and non-governmental organizations.

Institute for Conservation Leadership
The Institute trains and empowers leaders to build volunteer institutions that protect the environment. Services offered include: strategic planning, organizational development, fundraising, board development, volunteer recruitment, and conflict resolution.

Interaction Institute for Social Change
IISC's mission is to "transfer the skills and tools of collaboration to non-profit and community-based organizations who want to transform communities and to promote the spirit and practice of collaborative action by facilitating partnerships between corporations and low income groups." The Institute provides trainers, consultants, and services to non-profit and community organizations.

Project LEAD/Free the Planet!
Free The Planet!, a network of 600 college campuses, works to revitalize the political core of the environmental movement by empowering student activists. Through its LEAD (Leadership for Environmental Action and Development) Program, Free the Planet! provides campaign resources and organizing consultation.

Second Nature
Second Nature helps college and university students and staff expand their efforts to incorporate environmentally sustainability into all aspects of campus life. Their Education for Sustainability program teaches problem-solving skills, scientific and social literacy, and cooperative action through workshops and on-site clinics on campuses around the country.
