won the John and Kathleen Gorman Public Health Humanitarian Award at Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University in the City of New York. This goes to my professors-Mindy, Lourdes, and Bob-for creating and standing up for the Urbanism Track, teaching practice and theory in the field, and showing me the way.

Shannon Rogers attended the Living on Earth III (LOE III) workshop from October 23-26th in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Shannon was one of three New Hampshire scholars nominated to participate in this ongoing endeavor to address the need for effective integration of processes linking scientific knowledge and analytical approaches in social-ecological systems (SES) research.

 

was the runner up for the 2010 - 2012 Biannual Environmental Leadership Award at the University of Connecticut.

joined University of Denver as a Research Fellow in the Daniels College of Business to launch the Sustainable Finance Collaborative.  The first project, National PRI / MRI Research project will estimate the supply of private foundation program related and mission related investment capital available to invest in sustainable real estate projects. 

is partnering with HUD Energy Innovation Fund to create a $9M energy efficiency financing program for affordable housing in the Northeast.  Program partners include HUD's Office of Affordable Housing Preservation, WinnDevelopment, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Connecticut'c Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority, and more. 

Courtney Rudd is purusing a doctoate in educational leadership at San Francisco State University. She hopes this will expand her expertise and understanding of educational systems to continue her passion to expand global education and conservation efforts.

Cynthia Mellon presented at the White House on June 28 before the Inter-Agency Working Group on Environmental Justice, on behalf of the NY/NJ Coalition for Healthy Ports, as part of a team that testified on environmental issues at ports around the country.
