Eastern Regional Network
Biography:

I am a mother of two teenagers with deep community roots, having grown up and now, raising my children in Cherry Hill, NJ.  My background as a speech pathologist has provided me with well honed communication, organization and ‘people’ skills.  I am a small business owner of Take This Journey Video Productions and have developed financial, technological and marketing skills through this endeavor.

In the past four years, I have been able to parlay my passion for environmental issues into the role of community leader as the Executive Director and Founder of Sustainable Cherry Hill, a non-profit grassroots organization with the mission of bringing people together to build a sustainable South Jersey community. Our all volunteer organization has been recognized as a unique and innovative model for municipal/community partnership by The EPA Region 2, The Camden County Board of Freeholders, The American Institute of Architects-NJ and The US Green Building Council-NJ.

We have engaged thousands of people throughout Cherry Hill and South Jersey in the conversation about sustainability through our education/outreach programs, our Green Drinks Networking events, our website/digital outreach and our hands on work with Cherry Hill Township.  As a direct result of this partnership, Cherry Hill passed a 10 Point Green Action Plan in March 2008, became one of only 30 communities certified through the Sustainable Jersey Certification Program in 2009 and is the recipiant of a prestigious 2010 EPA Climate Community Showcase Grant for $500k (along with our collaborators, Highland Park and Montclair, NJ).
