Environmental Leadership Program

John Anderson is the Director of Education at the New England Aquarium, in Boston. The department focuses on developing programs to encourage an ethic of ocean stewardship, which means stimulating and facilitating actions, including citizenship-level action, with ocean health in mind. Currently (2011), Anderson is leading collaborations with several other aquariums to build capacity for interpreting/communicating issues of global change with public audiences. He is interested in being in touch with other ELP fellows interested in this work, particularly at the interface of non-formal education with climate and ocean research and with social science research.
