Emily Bockian Landsburg is the CEO and co-founder of BlackGold Biofuels. BlackGold is a wastewater resource recovery company specializing in extracting fats oils and grease from commercial wastewater and converting this waste to biodiesel. Prior to BlackGold, as the Manager of Business Development at The Energy Cooperative, Landsburg built Southeastern Pennsylvania’s leading biodiesel distributor, switching many influential fleets over to biodiesel such as the first school district in Pennsylvania, the City of Philadelphia, and the electric utility Exelon-PECO. She is a magna cum laude graduate in applied mathematics from Columbia University, Pennsylvania Environmental Council’s “40 Under 40,” and an Environmental Leadership Program Senior Fellow. She is the former chair of the National Biodiesel Board’s Sustainability Task Force.
