Biography: 

Annie Rojas works with Fair Food/White Dog Community Enterprises as the project manager for the Philadelphia Urban Food and Fitness Alliance (PUFFA). PUFFA's vision is a Philadelphia with a vibrant and sustainable local economy where everyone has equitable access to and enjoys: safe inviting environments that support healthy active lifestyles, and locally produced and distributed healthy fresh affordable and ethnically/culturally acceptable food. Her lifelong love affair with food has been driven by the role food plays in strengthening families, creating cultural ties, and building community. She has worked for the past fifteen years promoting health and wellness in communities, beginning as a Public Health Nutritionist for the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in San Francisco, serving as county breastfeeding promotion coordinator and co-founder and coordinator of the San Francisco Breastfeeding Promotion Coalition. After moving to New Jersey, Annie directed the Cape May County Healthy Community Coalition and served on the national Advisory Committee for CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America).
