Amanda Moore is a staff attorney-legal editor at the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law. She telecommutes from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where she also teaches as an adjunct professor at Middle Tennessee State University. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Appalachian Citizens' Law Center, a nonprofit law office in Whitesburg, Kentucky that addresses the health, safety, and environmental issues caused by coal mining. She previously practiced at the Law Center and clerked for the Hon. Boyce F. Martin, Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Amanda also serves on the Board of her local watershed protection group, the Stones River Watershed Association.
